It’s been a decade since Martin Laursen left Aston Villa.

Martin Laursen has told The Birmingham Mail it is ‘unbelievable’ that Aston Villa fans still remember him.
The Aston Villa legend attended Saturday’s 2-1 win over Blackburn Rovers.
The 41-year-old, who quit the Villans in 2009 and retired due to injury, heard his name echo around Villa Park.
Laursen, who has 53 caps for Denmark, spent five excellent years in the West Midlands but, having left a decade ago, the legendary defender finds it hard to believe that the fans still remember him.
He told The Birmingham Mail: “It is unbelievable that after so many years people remember me. I know they think we have done well and we probably have.
“But it is only here in England people are so good at remembering that. We are obviously honoured and proud of it. I love to feel that appreciated by the fans. It makes me proud. This is where I enjoyed it most.”
Dean Smith’s side have won five Championship games in a row and it will no doubt please Laursen that his former club are so solid in defence these days.
Aston Villa have only conceded twice during this five-match winning streak, scoring 13, and much of their defensive record is down to Tyrone Mings and Kortney Hause at centre-back.
Villa are in the playoff places and although a top-six finish isn’t in their hands, they have the momentum and that, at this stage of the season, is massive.
