Scott Sinclair has been in wonderful form for Celtic since signing from Aston Villa.

Martin Keown’s comments in the Daily Mail, may have just highlighted the error that Aston Villa made in the summer when they allowed Scott Sinclair to join Celtic.

Villa agreed to sell Sinclair for a £3 million fee (The Guardian), and it seems that Celtic have picked up a huge bargain by bringing in the England international.

Sinclair has been in remarkable form since moving to Celtic last summer, with Brendan Rodgers getting the best out of the flying attacker.

Sinclair has netted 22 goals in 41 appearances across all competitions for the Bhoys.

And Keown feels that the former Swansea City man could now play for the vast majority of Premier League clubs.

“They have a really deep squad at Celtic, the best group in the Premiership,” the former Arsenal defender said. “Scott Sinclair could probably play for three quarters of the sides in the Premier League, Moussa Dembele is impressive.”

Keown’s comments show just how much Sinclair’s reputation has been enhanced since his move to Celtic.

The 28-year-old had badly struggled at Villa, but now appears to be back to his very best.

And Villa’s loss has certainly been Celtic’s gain, with Sinclair rapidly becoming a real fans’ favourite at Parkhead.
