Hugo Lloris made up for his error in the first half to help Tottenham Hotspur to a win against Southampton.

Martin Keown has urged goalkeeper Hugo Lloris to learn from his mistakes following his howler during Tottenham’s 2-1 win against Southampton on Saturday.
For a number of seasons now, Lloris has had a knack of making a blunder, whether it be for his club or for his country.
Well, he showed that ugly side to his game again yesterday when his failed Cruyff turn inside the six-yard area allowed Danny Ings to pounce on his mistake and equalise.
Speaking to Final Score on BBC One (28/09/2019 at 5:10 pm), Keown believes Lloris made up for his error in the second half, but he still believes that he needs to do better.
“Once he made the mistake, he got on with the job and made three or four excellent saves,” Keown told Final Score. “It was a shocking mistake.
“Why he is doing that? A Cruyff turn in the six-yard box. He did the same at the World Cup and was punished, so he’s going to have to learn from it. They showed all the right ingredients after that, a lot of personality, character and they are in the top-four again.”

In the end, Harry Kane saved not just Lloris’ blushes, but Serge Aurier’s as well because he was sent off just before his goalkeeper had his moment of madness.
Considering the week, or even couple of months Spurs have had, they perhaps needed a win like that because it showed the fight and character they have within the dressing room.
Despite being down to 10 men for large parts of the game, they stuck at it and ground out a much-needed win and deserved three points.
Lloris, who earns 100k-a-week at the North London club [Spotrac], will now turn his attention to European football and the small matter of a clash with Bayern Munich on Tuesday.
