Arsenal legend Martin Keown has written in The Daily Mail that Robert Snodgrass will be questioning his move to West Ham United.

Snodgrass joined West Ham from Premier League rivals Hull City in the January transfer window for a fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £10.2 million.

Hull looked doomed for relegation to the Championship at the time, while the Hammers appeared to be pushing for a top-10 finish.

However, at the moment, both the Tigers and West Ham are in danger of going down to the Championship at the end of the season.

While Hull have improved under manager Marco Silva and are two points above the bottom three, the Hammers have lost their last five league matches and are just five points clear of the drop zone.

Former Arsenal star Keown believes that Snodgrass will be questioning his decision to swap Hull for West Ham.

“They essentially lost two of their ‘best’ players in January, in Robert Snodgrass and Jake Livermore, but have not missed a beat,” Keown wrote about Hull in The Daily Mail. “Now Snodgrass might be questioning the wisdom of moving to West Ham. He’ll be asking himself whether he made the right call.”

Snodgrass has failed to perform impressively at West Ham, creating only 12 chances in nine Premier League matches.

The 29-year-old winger needs to step up his game, and perhaps he will get better in the final weeks of the season.

The former Leeds United winger, though, should not be blamed for leaving Hull to join West Ham.

The Hammers are a bigger club than the Tigers and also have better chances of long-term success, and at the time it did look like a sensible decision.
