Martin Keown said on BT Sports 1 (10:05pm, April 8, 2021) that he was disappointed by the display of Arsenal defensive midfielder Thomas Partey tonight.
The Arsenal legend said that Partey did not seem to have the legs to run around the pitch at the Emirates Stadium, as the Europa League quarter-final first-leg tie against Slavia Prague ended in a 1-1 draw.
The 27-year-old Ghana international defensive midfielder started the match and was substituted in the 78th minute.
Keown said on BT Sports 1 (10:05pm, April 8, 2021): “Partey as well tonight was another that really disappointed me. I watched him tonight. Watching him live here we are not getting into the stadium that often, he didn’t have the legs to get around the pitch, wasn’t really bossing that midfield.”
How did Thomas Partey play for Arsenal tonight?
Partey is a very good defensive midfielder who haas done relatively well for Arsenal so far this season despite his injury problems.
Against Slavia on Thursday evening, the 27-year-old left much to be desired and should have done better.

The Ghana international defensive midfielder struggled on the ball and could not drive the team forward as much as he does, although he did protect the ball-four well.
According to WhoScored, Partey took one shot which was not on target, played one key pass, had a pass accuracy of 80.5%, won one header, took 53 touches, attempted one dribble, and made two tackles, two interceptions and one clearance.
