Martin Keown said on talkSPORT (12:15pm, February 5, 2021) that he does not think that Liverpool will win the Premier League title this season.

The Arsenal legend, who now works as a pundit for talkSPORT, said that he had backed Liverpool to win the title for the second successive season.

However, Keown has changed his mind now following the Reds’ disappointing form and results of late.

Jurgen Klopp’s side are fourth in the Premier League table at the moment with 40 points from 22 matches, seven points behind leaders Manchester City, who have played 21 games.

Keown said on talkSPORT (12:15pm, February 5, 2021): “I backed Liverpool to win the league this season, I don’t see it happening now.”

Staying positive

It does not look great for Liverpool in regard to winning the title again this season, but fans should not give up hope just yet.

True, the Merseyside outfit are quite far behind City in the league table, but there are quite a number of games still left to be played this season.

Liverpool will face City in the Premier League this weekend, and if they are able to pick up all three points against the Citizens, then they will certainly fancy their chances of going all the way again this season.
