The Arsenal manager elected to pick the Colombian ahead of Petr Cech against PSG.

Arsenal legend Martin Keown has told the Daily Mail he applauds Arsene Wenger’s decision to drop Petr Cech for David Ospina in the Champions League.
The Frenchman elected to drop his regular number one for the clash with Paris Saint-Germain at the Parc des Princes on Tuesday.
It was a decision that surprised many, to say the least, especially given the manner in which Ospina struggled in the early Champions League games last season.
It proved to be an inspired decision, though, as the Colombian made several big saves in the game that ultimately ended up earning his side a precious away point.

Of course, there are still those that feel Cech should have started but Keown says he applauds the decision.
“Playing David Ospina against Paris Saint-Germain was a massive show of faith from Arsene Wenger,” he told the Daily Mail.
“However, Wenger will feel that he can’t offer his belief in a player if he doesn’t back it up by selecting him, so I applaud him for playing Ospina on Tuesday.”

Arsenal will now be hoping that the result in Paris proves to be a good one for them.
A point away from home to their main rivals in the group is certainly a result they would have taken before the game started.
Indeed, if the can win their other games before taking on the French champions at the Emirates in the return leg, they will be in a commanding position to finish top of the group.
