TalkSPORT pundit Martin Keown has said that Liverpool winger Luis Diaz did not look sharp against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday afternoon.

Former Arsenal star Martin Keown has said on talkSPORT (2:24pm, September 16, 2023) that Liverpool forward Luis Diaz did not look fit or sharp in the Premier League match against Wolverhampton Wanderers away from home at Molineux today.

Liverpool got the better of Wolves 3-1.

Diaz did not start the match.

The 26-year-old Colombia international winger came on as a substitute for Alexis Mac Allister at half time.

Keown said about Diaz towards the end of the match: “He doesn’t look sharp, Diaz. He doesn’t look quite fit enough.”

Luis Diaz did well for Liverpool vs Wolverhampton Wanderers

In our view, Liverpool winger Luis Diaz did (relatively) well against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League on Saturday.

Although the Colombia international winger was not at his best, he did create problems for the Wolves defenders and put them under pressure.

Diaz had a chance to score just minutes after he came on, and his direct running caused the Wolves players problems.

And then there was the winger’s pace.

Diaz is not in full rhythm now, but it is only mid-September.

We believe that the winger is going to get better in the coming weeks and will play a big role in Liverpool’s quest to win the Premier League title this season.
