The Arsenal legend expects Tottenham Hotspur to be in the top four again come what May.

Martin Keown of Arsenal waves to the fans during the Martin Keown Testimonial match between Arsenal and England XI at Highbury, on May 17, 2004 in London.

Arsenal legend Martin Keown spoke to reporters at the 2018 FA & McDonald’s Grassroots Awards, and responded when asked where he believes Tottenham will finish in the Premier League table this season, as quoted by the Mirror.

Spurs finished third in the table last season, but it will be a major concern for both Mauricio Pochettino and the club’s fans that they are still yet to bring any new faces into the club this summer.

Whilst their rivals are spending lavishly, Tottenham continue to flounder in the market, and that could make their task of securing Champions League football once again an incredibly hard one indeed.

Keown doesn’t go along with that notion, though.

The former Arsenal star responded when asked where he believes Tottenham will finish in the table this season, as quoted by the Mirror:

“I don’t see Spurs in any danger for third place. I think moving away from Wembley to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, back to essentially what we know as White Hart Lane, will energise them.”

Spurs have a history of doing their business very late on in the transfer window, however, and with around 60 hours still remaining until the deadline, it would be no surprise to see the north London outfit make a flurry of late signings.

If they fail to do that, though, they could be in for an extremely challenging campaign.
