Mousa Dembele has been simply outstanding for Tottenham Hotspur this calendar year.

Martin Keown has told The Daily Mail that he is delighted to see Tottenham Hotspur star Mousa Dembele begin to get recognition for his show-stopping performances as of late.
The Belgian powerhouse posted another midfield masterclass for Tottenham this week as Mauricio Pochettino’s side fought back from two goals down to draw away to Juventus in the Champions League.
That display from the 30-year-old came three days after his man-of-the-match showing in Saturday’s 1-0 win over North London rivals Arsenal, having also impressed against Manchester United and Liverpool recently.

With the exception of Harry Kane, Dembele might be Tottenham’s most important player at the moment and the plaudits have followed in the wake of each powerful performance.
For so long the former Fulham man was arguably one of the most underrated players around, but Arsenal legend Keown is happy to see the big man finally get credit.

He told The Daily Mail: “He is thriving in a deeper role, providing the platform for attacks.
“Mauricio Pochettino has often withdrawn Dembele towards the end of games but now he is approaching peak fitness.
“It is great to see him finally get the credit he deserves.”
