Martin Keown has told the Daily Mail that he believes Tottenham Hotspur finally have the player that they have been waiting for for years in Heung-Min Son.

Son has netted six goals in his last five matches, and he has often played a striking role for Spurs.

Keown now believes that Tottenham have enough cover for Kane, should the striker get injured.

And he has praised the performances of the South Korean, who is becoming a real threat for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

“For years we have debated who can lighten the goalscoring load on Harry Kane’s shoulders,” the former Arsenal man said.

“In Son Heung-min, Tottenham now have another lethal finisher in rich form.”

Son’s goalscoring form has helped elevate Tottenham up the Premier League table.

Spurs’ form across December has been brilliant, and they are now remarkably above Manchester City.

Pochettino’s side have thrust themselves into the title race, with Spurs now only six points behind Liverpool.

Tottenham are next in action tomorrow when they take on Wolverhampton Wanderers at Wembley.
