Dani Ceballos played well for Arsenal against Burnley in the Premier League at the weekend.

Dani Ceballos of Arsenal looks on during the Premier League match between Arsenal FC and Burnley FC at Emirates Stadium on August 17, 2019 in London, United Kingdom.

Martin Keown has spoken highly of Real Madrid-owned Arsenal central midfielder Dani Ceballos, as quoted in Goal.com.

The Arsenal legend was impressed with the performance of Ceballos during the Gunners’ Premier League game against Burnley at the weekend.

The 23-year-old central midfielder, signed on loan from Spanish and European giants Madrid in the summer transfer window, started the match and played for 83 minutes, as Unai Emery’s side won 2-1.

According to WhoScored, the former Real Betis star took three shots of which one was on target, played four key passes, had a pass accuracy of 90%, took 97 touches, attempted four dribbles, made two tackles, and put in five crosses.

Arsenal legend Keown, who now works as a pundit for BBC Sport and BT Sport, was following the match, and he was hugely impressed with the display produced by Ceballos at the Emirates Stadium in North London on Saturday.

Goal.com quotes Keown as saying about Ceballos: “It’s been a few years I think since they’ve seen someone this talented in the Arsenal midfield, with the confidence, panache, vision and desire to get on the ball.

“He looks a good prospect, certainly at home. If he can produce that away from home, then Arsenal really will have all their prayers answered this season.

“I think it’s a good while since we saw a debut that good from an Arsenal player. I think he’s excellent, a really good addition to the group.”

Arsenal have made a strong start to the season and have won both of their Premier League games so far.
