The Tottenham Hotspur manager has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United over this past week.

Martin Keown suggested that it would take something special to prise Mauricio Pochettino away from Tottenham, whilst comparing the Argentine with Arsenal legend Arsene Wenger, when speaking exclusively to the Daily Mail.
Pochettino is widely considered to be one of the best managers in the business, and following Jose Mourinho’s sacking from Manchester United on Tuesday, the 46-year-old has been hotly tipped to take over at Old Trafford.
The Argentine has worked wonders since taking over at Spurs in the summer of 2014, and his team are now considered to be genuine challengers for major honours, both domestically and on the continent.
And Tottenham fans will be praying that Poch hangs around to see his project through.
Keown spoke exclusively to the Daily Mail, and shared his belief that the Argentine won’t be going anywhere soon:

“Mauricio Pochettino doesn’t look to me like he is thinking about going anywhere else. He is part of a project at Tottenham. He has confidence because he knows two of the world’s best clubs are potentially pursuing him in Manchester United and Real Madrid. It would take something pretty special to take him away from Tottenham. I think he might use the opportunity to get extra money out of Daniel Levy so he can compete. Look at how much he has spent in recent windows compared to the clubs he is competing with. Pochettino, to me, is Arsene Wenger 2.0. Wenger was the pioneer. He had a hand in everything. We’re seeing that with Pochettino.”
Considering the fact that Tottenham are on the verge of moving into their new 62,000 capacity home, it would be a strange time for Poch to jump ship.
United have great pulling power, however, and it will be interesting to see both Tottenham’s and Pochettino’s stance, should the 13-time Premier League champions make a move for the Argentine’s services.
As things stand, though, Spurs are in great shape, and there is no reason for their brilliant manager to leave.
