Tottenham Hotspur have surprised many this year, having failed to sign a single player in the summer.

Martin Keown of Arsenal waves to the fans during the Martin Keown Testimonial match between Arsenal and England XI at Highbury, on May 17, 2004 in London.

Martin Keown shared his belief that Mauricio Pochettino genuinely believes that his Tottenham side can win the Premier League title this season, when speaking exclusively to the Daily Mail.

Keown, however, suggested that Pochettino still firmly believes that his players are capable of winning the league this season, when speaking exclusively to the Daily Mail:

“I am convinced that he believes Tottenham can win this title. Inside that dressing room, the message will not be, ‘Let’s give it our best shot.’ It will be, ‘Let’s win it’.”

Tottenham are back in action on January 1st, when they head to Wales to take on Cardiff City, and it will be of paramount importance for them to win the game, if they harbour a genuine ambition to win the league title this season.

Yesterday’s defeat to Wolves would have hurt Spurs, but it should not be viewed as an insurmountable set-back.
