Martin Keown is impressed by Liverpool’s Brazilian star.

Martin Keown has told The Mail that Liverpool’s Roberto Firmino has been a revelation this season, and suggested that Adam Lallana should have started Monday’s clash with Manchester United.
Anfield played host to what was one of the biggest games of the Premier League season last night, but it failed to deliver in the form of a dull 0-0 draw.

Daniel Sturridge led the forward line to little effect after Jurgen Klopp recalled him to the first XI, but the Reds looked a little better when the Brazilian forward went through the middle after Lallana replaced the England striker on the hour mark.
Firmino had netted three times in six Premier League outings before last night, as well as scoring one and setting up another in the League Cup, and Keown has been impressed with the former Hoffenheim forward this season.

“Liverpool were an awful lot better when they brought Adam Lallana on and pushed Firmino further forward. Things started to happen,” he told The Mail.
“Firmino takes players out of position, and he wants to get on the back of people. He has been a revelation.”
Victory would have seen Liverpool move top of the Premier League, level on points with Manchester City and Arsenal, though they remain fourth regardless.
