Rangers goalkeeper Allan McGregor has been superb for Steven Gerrard’s side this season, and the Scotsman was in stunning form for the Ibrox club on Thursday evening.
The Gers played out a 1-1 draw with Slavia Prague away from home in the first leg of their Europa League Round of 16 tie.
Nicolae Stanciu scored a superb goal after seven minutes to put the home team in the league, but Filip Helander tapped in the equaliser in the 36th minute.
Slavia had a chance late in the game, but they were denied by Rangers goalkeeper McGregor.
Lukas Masopust must have thought that he had done enough when he sent a towering header towards the Rangers goal, but McGregor, 39, made a superb save to deny him.
Rangers manager Gerrard said that the save was “world class”, as quoted on BBC Sport, while Gers legend Ally McCoist compared it to the save that Gordon Banks made for England against Brazil in the 1970 World Cup.
Arsenal legend Martin Keown was impressed by the save, but the former England international said that it was not as good as the one from Banks.

Former Celtic striker Chris Sutton is of the same opinion, but he did acknowledge that it was a good save.
Keown said on BT Sports 2 (11pm, March 11, 2021): “Let me tell you. That is a very good save down to his left-hand side, the pressure he is under, it’s a free header. It’s not quite up there with Gordon Banks. It’s an important save.”
Sutton said on BT Sport 2 (11pm, March 11, 2021): “It’s not in the Gordon Banks league. Come on. It’s a good save.”
