Martin Keown has told BT Sport’s coverage of Arsenal beating Bodo/Glimt that Bukayo Saka is becoming “emphatic” – comparing him to Liverpool superstar Mo Salah as a left-footed right winger, claiming he is in the Egyptian’s mould.
Saka, 21, scored his fourth goal of the season as Arsenal secured an important away win in Norway. Saka cut inside from the right, slamming a shot at the Bodo/Glimt goalkeeper. Saved, the rebound hit Saka in the face and went in.
The England star is on fire at the moment, also laying on four assists for the Gunners. He is arguably the club’s most in-form player at the moment, with three goals coming in his last two games. A brace in Sunday’s 3-2 win over Liverpool.
Keown raved about Saka in his immediate analysis after the full-time whistle, and claims that Saka is now showing similarities with Liverpool’s Salah. Both left-footed right wingers, Keown thinks he is in he mould of the £34m ace.
“He’s top drawer. Tonight he was the difference. He’s a left-footed right winger, he makes it really difficult for the opposition with his change of pace. He is emphatic, you see Salah doing it for Liverpool, he is in that mould.”

What is brilliant for Arsenal, is that the Gunners have a player of a similar ability to Saka without paying a penny. Saka is not only an inspiration to the younger Arsenal players – but also a sign that Arsenal are a club heading the right way.
Not only are they excelling in terms of tactics, have an excellent manager at the helm, and have Edu working wonders in the transfer market. Their academy is also producing quality on a conveyor belt. Saka is a prime example of this.
