Martin Keown said on BT Sport/ESPN (7:59pm, March 18, 2021) that Arsenal defender Gabriel was getting bullied in the opening minutes of the second half last night.
Arsenal lost 1-0 to Olympiakos at the Emirates Stadium in the second leg of their Europa League Round of 16 on Thursday evening.
However, the Gunners have progressed to the quarter-finals of the competition 3-2 on aggregate, having won the first leg 3-1 away from home.
Arsenal legend Known was following the game, and he pointed out that star defender Gabriel was getting bullied in the opening minutes of the second half, with Olympiacos starting strongly after the break.
Keown said on BT Sport/ESPN (7:59pm, March 18, 2021): “I am not sure what went on in the team talk at half time. Even Gabriel there was getting bullied early on. Started really poorly in the second half and allowed Olympiakos to run at them.”

Disappointing display
Arsenal’s performance on Thursday evening left much to be desired, and the Gunners will be disappointed.
Gabriel did not have a good game on a personal level, as the 23-year-old was caught out a few times by a simple long ball into the danger zone.
The Brazilian did not look very comfortable when he was under pressure, but at the end of the day, Arsenal got the job done and will play in the quarter-finals of the Europa League.
