The Tottenham Hotspur midfielder has received high praise from a former manager.

In an exclusive interview with Football.London, former Tottenham Hotspur manager Martin Jol has claimed Spurs midfielder Mousa Dembele is good enough to grace any side in the world.
The Belgian international has played 195 matches for Spurs since arriving at White Hart Lane from Fulham, and he is something of an unsung hero…at least among neutrals.
Tottenham fans know exactly how good the 29-year-old is, and while the likes of Dele Alli and Harry Kane deservedly take the headlines, it is the hard work of Dembele that allows his Spurs teammates to shine.
“Dembele could play for any top team in the world,” Jol told Football.London. “He is so strong and he will never lose the ball. He is so good.”
Dembele clearly has a fan in Jol and it will be interesting to see what the future holds for the Belgian, with Tottenham only likely to get better in the years ahead.

Given his age, the midfielder should continue to play a key role for Tottenham well into his thirties, but his game could evolve to ensure he can still influence games when he approaches the twilight of his career.
Tottenham have two matches remaining this season, before they look ahead to the summer transfer window and the challenges of 2018 and beyond.
