Martin Jol saw his team lose 2-1 to Cardiff City at Craven Cottage on Saturday afternoon.
Afterwards he told the BBC:
“We worked hard but we didn’t have the rub of the green. I don’t want to see this club be at the bottom of the table. I know we can do a lot better. I think we will be OK but this is a blow. Cardiff are not a team that are going to be in the top six and we have to win these games.”
Reassuring. But maybe Jol should come clean and tell us about his pre-match stewarding duties?
