The former West Bromwich Albion midfielder was 40/1 to land the job at one stage.

Former West Bromwich Albion midfielder Martin Jol has emerged among the favourites to be the club’s next permanent manager.
Jol is now 8/1 to replace Alan Pardew with bookmaker Sky Bet, having occupied odds of 40/1 at one stage.
The Dutchman, who previously managed at Tottenham Hotspur and Fulham, has been out of work since leaving Egyptian giants Al Ahly in September 2016.
Nevertheless, he is now fifth favourite for the West Brom position, behind only Dean Smith (3/1), Darren Moore (9/2), Derek McInnes and Mick McCarthy (both 6/1).

It remains to be seen whether or not the Baggies – whose slim hopes of surviving relegation under caretaker boss Moore remain in tact – would consider a move for Jol.
However, the 62-year-old’s CV – which includes a league title in Egypt and cup wins with Roda JC and Ajax – is likely to stand up against more than most.
Moore stepped in after Pardew’s sacking at the start of April and has taken an impressive five points from three games against Swansea City, Manchester United and Liverpool.
