Martin Jol says Tottenham striker deserves more opportunities.
Lazio and Marseille are both keen on the forward but Spurs are not planning to accept any loan offers.
Former Spurs coach Martin Jol has given his view on the situation, and believes the club could regret letting him depart and not giving him a more prominent role.

Speaking to Voetball International, Jol warned: “If you get another striker and loan him, you’ll see that Janssen makes up 20 [goals].
“He is second choice and may occasionally participate for a few minutes. He never gets [a chance].”

Janssen signed for Tottenham with high hopes last season after finishing as top goalscorer with AZ Alkmaar in the Eredivisie.
Instead his campaign was a real disappointment, scoring just two Premier League goals.
Janssen is hoping for an improvement in his second season, and may regret not sticking it out until at least January.
If Holland clinch qualification to the World Cup, which presently looks dicey, then he would surely be entitled to push for a move mid-season if he is not playing regularly.
