Premier League outfit Spurs face a challenge hanging onto Denmark star Eriksen with Manchester United and Real Madrid reportedly interested.

Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Martin Jol has described Christian Eriksen as the best attacking midfielder in England in an interview with The Telegraph.
Despite speculation intensifying over his future with the Danish international seemingly reluctant to extend a contract that expires in 2020, Eriksen has been in fine form over recent weeks and is at his influential best heading into Tuesday’s Champions League semi-final clash with his former club Ajax.
And Jol believes that Eriksen, who has produced nine goals and 17 assists this season to catch the eye of Manchester United and Real Madrid according to The Standard, is untouchable in the Premier League – putting him ahead of even Manchester City great David Silva.
“David Silva is an unbelievable player, but Manchester City are still Manchester City when he is out. Tottenham are different when Christian isn’t playing, which is why I believe he is the best midfielder of his type in England,” said the Dutchman, who coached Spurs between 2004 and 2007 and still has a great fondness for a club he supported since he was eight years old.

The Standard reports that Tottenham would demand £60 million from any club aiming to end Eriksen’s six year spell in North London this summer.
Manchester United apparently see him as a key part of their summer rebuild, having held an interest since Louis van Gaal’s days at Old Trafford.
