Newcastle United signed Martin Dubvraka and ex-Arsenal man Tomas Rosicky had a part to play in the transfer.

Dubravka was playing with Tomas Rosicky at Sparta Prague and enjoying his time in the Czech Republic.
But when Newcastle made their interest clear in January, Rosicky was quick to urge Dubravka to take the opportunity to move to St. James’ Park.
“He told me he liked playing with me but that I had to come here,” Dubravka said.
Rosicky made his name in English football through playing for Arsenal.
The playmaker spent 10 years with the Gunners, and became a very popular figure at the Emirates Stadium.

Dubravka is also making a hugely positive impression at Newcastle, and he has been one of the bright sparks in their season.
Dubravka was impressive right from the moment he arrived at St. James’ Park, and now has become one of the leaders in Newcastle’s dressing room.
The Magpies are still looking for their first win of the campaign though, and are currently sat in the Premier League’s relegation zone.
