Newcastle United goalkeeper Martin Dubravka has impressed so far this season.

Martin Dubravka has told the Chronicle that he hopes Newcastle United fans can see the togetherness of the team.

Newcastle failed to win any of their first 10 Premier League matches, which led to concerns rising around St. James’ Park.

But Newcastle won 1-0 against Watford last weekend, with Rafael Benitez’s side keeping a clean sheet.

And Dubravka said: “We’re a team and everybody plays together and everybody and loses together.

“I hope people can see it. It is all the defenders, not just me.

“We are all throwing ourselves in the way to block shots. That’s how it should be.”

Dubravka has been one of Newcastle’s star performers this season, and he has developed into a leader of the squad.

The Slovakian has proven to be a reliable signing ever since he arrived on loan last January.

Dubravka has firmly established himself as Newcastle’s number one, and is quickly becoming a fans’ favourite on Tyneside.

Benitez’s side are next in action this weekend, when they take on Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth side who have been one of the surprise packages in the Premier League this season.
