Newcastle United beat Manchester United 1-0 on Martin Dubravka’s debut last weekend.

Martin Dubravka has told the Chronicle that Newcastle United fans helped him through his debut.
Newcastle stopper Dubravka was thrown in at the deep end last weekend, as he was selected to start against Manchester United.
However, the stopper coped well with the challenge, and looked completely comfortable in his new team.
Dubravka made one brilliant save from Anthony Martial in the first-half, and then he commanding his box brilliantly as Newcastle came under pressure late on.

The Slovakian’s performance was key to the Magpies winning the contest 1-0 against United.
And Dubravka has already been impressed by the St. James’ Park crowd.
“The crowd helped me a lot – right from the beginning,” he said.
“You can feel their energy all the time.
“That will help me I am sure. I am happy that we got a win and we can move forward.”

Dubravka’s brilliant debut has already made him Newcastle’s undisputed number one, and it seems he will have a key role to play for the rest of the campaign.
Newcastle are next in action in two weekends’ time, when they take on Bournemouth at Dean Court.
