Martin Dubravka was in action for Newcastle United against Southampton at the weekend.

The travelling Newcastle fans chanted Dubravka’s name during the Premier League match against Southampton away from home at St. Mary’s Stadium this past Saturday.
The 29-year-old goalkeeper – who joined the Magpies on a permanent contract from Sparta Prague in the summer of 2018 for a transfer fee reported by The Sun to be worth £4 million – appreciated the Newcastle supporters’ chants.
Dubravka told The Shields Gazette: “It is fantastic when you hear your name being chanted by the fans. I really appreciate that, and, as a player, it gives you confidence.
“We are together, we are united, and it’s an amazing feeling to have them behind us. We would like to give them everything.
“In some of the previous games, it was not enough, but I hope they could see that we gave everything out there.”

Important player
Dubravka is one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League and has been playing well for Newcastle so far this season.
The Slovakia international is very reliable in front of goal, and the 29-year-old is going to be important for the Magpies as the season progresses.
Rafael Benitez’s side are struggling for survival in the Premier League at the moment and are in real danger of going down to the Championship at the end of the season.
Newcastle need to start scoring goals and also have to stop conceding at the back.
