Harry Kane has continued his impeccable goalscoring form with a hat-trick for Tottenham against Southampton on Boxing Day.

Former Tottenham Hotspur striker Martin Chivers has told the Daily Mail that Barcelona and Real Madrid will be “throwing money” at Harry Kane in order to tempt him with a move away from north London.
Kane, 24, continued to blow away Spurs’ Premier League opposition with a second hat-trick in two games after picking up the match ball against Burnley. He repeated his heroics with a treble in Boxing Day’s 5-2 win over Southampton.
It sees the England international surpass Alan Shearer’s record of 36 Premier League goals in a calendar year, with Kane now on 39 as well as going ahead of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo in terms of goals scored this year.

On 56 for club and country, Kane has broken the duopoly of the two superstars but Chivers believes both Ronaldo and Messi’s sides will be interested in Kane sooner rather than later. But Chivers is confident he can remain in north London.
“The frightening thing for Tottenham is that everybody is going to be after him now. There are going to be whispers about Real Madrid and Barcelona. They’re going to be throwing money at him,” Chivers said.
“We all hope he stays and carries on the way he is because what an exciting time to be at Tottenham with a new stadium and a good team.”

The Daily Mail claim Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is ready to stump up the necessary funds to secure the future of the former Norwich City, Millwall and Leyton Orient loanee, with his £110,000-a-week wages considered small in today’s market.
Kane is now on 18 strikes for the 2017-18 season, three ahead of Liverpool summer signing Mo Salah as he eyes a third consecutive Golden Boot.
He will have to wait until January 2 to add to that tally, as Spurs have finished their matches for 2017 and take to the playing field once again with a trip to Wales to face Swansea City.
