Barcelona were in Champions League action last night, and avoided slipping on a potential banana skin at Ferencvaros.
Ronald Koeman’s side travelled to Hungary in search of three points, and made a fine start as Antoine Griezmann put them in front.
Martin Braithwaite then made it 2-0, sliding in to score from Ousmane Dembele’s cross, and the pair were involved in the third.
Braithwaite raced onto a through ball but was brought down when in on goal, with Dembele stepping up to score the subsequent penalty.
Barca were 3-0 up inside half an hour but that’s where the scoring stopped, and it proved to be a great night for Braithwaite.
The Dane is suddenly in great form for Barca, smashing four goals and one assist in his last three games for the club.

This run comes after SPORT reported that both Leeds United and West Ham United want to sign Braithwaite in January, with his form surely making a move a little less likely.
Speaking to the club’s official website ahead of the trip to Ferencvaros, boss Ronald Koeman praised Braithwaite for working hard for his chance, and believes he offers a centre forward threat that Barcelona need sometimes – which again points towards Leeds and West Ham being disappointed next month.
“We are trying to work out what our best attack is. Braithwaite has worked hard for a place,” said Koeman. “We need a centre forward more in some games than in others, but he’s doing well and making it more competitive for places in attack,” he added.
