Rangers’ Wes Foderingham (R) in action with Hibernian’s Martin Boyle
Hibernian ace Martin Boyle has snubbed interest from a number of other clubs to sign a new deal at Easter Road, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Boyle’s existing deal at Hibs was due to expire this month and several sides have been monitoring his situation in Edinburgh.
Aberdeen, Motherwell and Shrewsbury Town all expressed an interest in signing the speedy forward, but Boyle has opted to stay at Hibs.
The 24-year-old has agreed a new two-year deal to extend his stay at Easter Road and the news will come as a major boost to Hibs boss Neil Lennon.
Boyle scored nine goals in all competitions last season and played a key role in helping the club win the Scottish Championship title to fire Hibs back to the Scottish Premiership.
