Marta Diaz has told Sergio Reguilon on Instagram ‘you deserve everything’ after his goal for Tottenham during their 5-0 win over Everton on Monday night.

Even though Reguilon didn’t start the game, he piled more misery on Frank Lampard’s sorry Everton by scoring within minutes of being introduced into the action.

The left-back’s girlfriend, Marta Diaz, posted the following message in response to his performance: “My love, you deserve everything.”

Giovani Lo Celso, who is on-loan at Villarreal from Spurs, also responded to Reguilon’s post by saying: ‘Beautiful goal’.

Ryan Sessegnon has been the man selected as a left-sided wing-back by Antonio Conte in recent times.

At first, it was for tactical reasons, but Reguilon has also been absent through illness in recent weeks for the north London club.

Nonetheless, he is back in action now and he will probably be thrown straight back into the XI for the showdown against Manchester United at the weekend.

The only reason he was introduced into the action against Everton at half-time was because of Sessegnon picking up another injury.

It has been a difficult time for the versatile attacker ever since he was signed up by the club in 2019.

Injuries just haven’t allowed him to settle and they have played a big part in his development, or lack of it.

But what is the loss of another player, is the gain of another because Reguilon should now come back into the XI.
