Jesse Marsch has told the press that the Leeds United players approached him to rubbish the rumour about a dressing room revolt that was in action to get the head honcho the sack.
Since basically the start of the 2022/2023 season, it has seemed like the 49-year-old’s job at Elland Road has seemed on the line.
Despite that being true, the Leeds players assured him that the dressing room rumour about a mutiny behind closed doors to ensure Jesse Marsch gets the marching orders was fake news.
Thankfully for Jesse Marsch and the Leeds players, the rumour about an organised dressing room revolt has been cleared up as completely and utterly false.
Jesse Marsch clears up Leeds dressing room revolt rumour

In his latest press conference, Marsch said, “They came to me and they want to make sure I know and everyone knows we’re together.”
“I said they were angry. I can be criticised for a lot of things, right? If you just went on results and that’s what the discussion has been; the results haven’t been good enough. That’s enough fodder.”
Clearly, the dressing rumour involving the Leeds players and Jesse Marsch was completely fictional.
However, the Whites boss elaborated, “I don’t think anyone needs to try to invent anything else because the quality of people we have on the inside of this club is like nothing I’ve ever experienced.”
“You can knock us for not getting the results we want and not playing at the level our expectations are of ourselves.”
“We have to be able to handle that and respond to that, but to question the character of what we’ve created here and what we’re about, that’s totally off base and I wanted to make sure I cut that out immediately.”
“A few of them came. A couple came together; a couple came separately. [It] wasn’t like they went out of their way to make a huge statement. We interact here constantly as if we are teammates, right?”
“This is how we work. We support each other always. It’s a really wonderful place to be. I’m very thankful for the club, the players, the leadership. It’s special here. It was fairly clear we are together. I appreciated them coming to me, but I knew it was there already. I didn’t need affirmation. I knew it when somebody told me.”
“Somebody from Austria told me it was in the paper in Austria. That’s how I found out and I was like ‘what are they doing reporting in Austria’ and then I noticed it was reported in England. I knew right away. I didn’t even need to ask anybody because I know it’s not true”, he told Leeds Live.
Well, it’s nice to know that Leeds and Jesse Marsch are hand-in-hand in their pursuit for success and the dressing room rumour as presented was far from the truth.
