Newcastle United have been linked with Brazilian ace Marrony.

Newcastle United look set to land one attacker in Andy Carroll today, but one forward who won’t be arriving is Vasco da Gama hitman Marrony.
The Magpies will sign Carroll on a free transfer following his exit from West Ham United, finishing off Steve Bruce’s attacking reshaping.
Joelinton was signed from Hoffenheim earlier this summer, whilst Allan Saint-Maximin arrived from Nice last Friday, with Bruce landing a target man and a speedster.
There were rumours earlier this summer that Newcastle were landing another Brazilian to go along with Joelinton, in the form of Vasco da Gama ace Marrony.
Globo Esporte recently noted that Newcastle like Marrony, but his release clause of €35million (£32million) seemingly put the Magpies off a move.
The 20-year-old centre forward has only played 24 games for Vasco da Gama, scoring just two goals, but has been touted for a bright future.

No deal will be done before the deadline today, with Marrony telling Globo Esporte that whilst Newcastle were interested, they aren’t any more, and he’s fully focused on Vasco da Gama.
Marrony was also asked team he follows in the Premier League, and instantly answered ‘Newcastle’ – meaning that if the Magpies do rekindle their interest one day, he may well jump at a move to Tyneside.
