Grujic made his first Anfield start last month in the EFL Cup win over Tottenham.
Liverpool midfielder Marko Grujic believes he can improve further following his latest first team appearance – which was in the 2-1 win over Tottenham in the EFL Cup two weeks ago, the club’s official website reports.
Grujic made his first Anfield start and had a role to play in Daniel Sturridge’s opening goal. It was the fourth appearance of the 20-year-old’s Liverpool career so far.

The Serb told liverpoolfc.com: “Of course, I will try to improve my skills. Maybe before the game I had a little bit of pressure, but that’s normal before games like that.
“I felt good after the game and had positive comments from the coaches. But I know that I can do much better.”
This season feels like it’s all about progression for the £5.1 million signing from Red Star Belgrade. The one thing that is striking about him is his presence, and the drive he can provide the side.

There are elements of his game that can come across as rash but at the same time he has shown he is not afraid to put a tackle in, and during pre-season he managed to impress by finding the net on several occasions.
He is one player that could have benefited from having European football this season, but instead a strong run in competitions like the EFL Cup could be his best opportunity for some serious first team action – along with cameo appearances from the bench.
Grujic has certainly shown some ability, and has played in one or two different roles this season – which could probably help him in the long run as he develops his game. But he is a young player that seems pretty grounded, and is showing a will to improve.
