Marko Arnautovic’s agent suggested that he may be ready to leave West Ham United.

West Ham fans have been given reason for a little alarm during this international break with Marko Arnautovic’s brother and agent telling Gianluca Di Marzio that the forward could be ready to leave the London Stadium.
Arnautovic has been a fantastic signing for the Hammers and losing him would be a massive blow for Manuel Pellegrini, especially at an exciting time for the club.
Their results have not always suggested it, but the Irons appear to be moving in a good direction, with the statement signings of Felipe Anderson and Issa Diop starting to look like very good acquisitions.
So losing Arnautovic in one of upcoming windows would be a major setback as West Ham look to establish themselves as a top-half side in the Premier League.

Arnautovic’s agent spoke of the Austrian wanting to win trophies or even compete in the Champions League. And while it is highly unlikely that he will tick the latter off his bucket list wearing a Claret and Blue kit, Pellegrini could certainly target winning the silverware that may appease Arnautovic if he really is looking for the exit.
But if they want to take that next step and become a side who sit much higher in the top flight and are competing in the cup competitions, they need to improve the squad further.

So perhaps Danijel Arnautovic’s comments could lay the gauntlet down to the West Ham board to go out and make some further statements in the upcoming transfer windows.
Arnautovic appears to be happy enough that if he sees the club making the kind of signings that suggest that they could improve further, he may be much more tempted to stick around in the hope of realising some of those ambitions with West Ham.
