West Ham United signed the Austrian for a club record fee lat week.
Hammers new-boy Marko Arnautovic sat down for an exclusive interview with the club’s official website, and suggested that he would not have joined West Ham if it wasn’t for Slaven Bilic, and the manner in which he sold the club to him.
The Austrian completed his £24 million move to the London Stadium from Stoke last week, and the Hammers fans are expecting big things from the 28-year-old.

In order for him to be a hit in east London, however, he will surely have to improve upon his underwhelming record of just 26 goals and 32 assists in 145 games.
He undoubtedly has the talent though, and if the former Werder Bremen man knuckles down and works hard, there is no reason why he cannot succeed at West Ham.
When speaking to WHUFC.com for an exclusive interview, however, he admitted that he wouldn’t even be at the club if it wasn’t for the Hammers boss:
“First of all, the coach gave me a good feeling about this Club. He did well because otherwise I wouldn’t have signed!”
West Ham’s Premier League campaign kicks off on August 13th, with a challenging trip to Old Trafford to take on Manchester United, and Arnautovic will surely be desperate to start the game and make an instant impact for his new club.
