Celtic boss Neil Lennon finds himself under pressure – and ex-Bhoys defender Mark Wilson has an idea that could help him.

The Bhoys drew 3-3 at Aberdeen on Sunday, as Lewis Ferguson’s last-gasp penalty prevented Celtic from what would have been a rather fortunate win.

Having lost at home to Rangers and then to AC Milan, Lennon needed a result at Pittodrie – but didn’t get it.

Rangers then beat Livingston 2-0 at Ibrox, meaning they have now opened up a six-point gap at the top of the Scottish Premiership table.

Some Celtic fans are now calling for Lennon to go, fearing that he will miss out on the 10th league title in a row, which is their ultimate target this season.

Ex-Celtic defender Wilson has now told The Celtic Huddle that he thinks Lennon should be backed with a new addition – and it’s a backroom one rather than an on-pitch signing.

Wilson believes that Lennon needs his own man at Parkhead, rather than working with John Kennedy or recent addition Gavin Strachan.

Wilson feels that Johan Mjallby is the right man to bring in to help Lennon, having been his assistant at both Celtic and Bolton in the past.

The former Celtic defender is currently managing FC Stockholm in Sweden, so he may be difficult to land, but Wilson thinks he would be a good addition even if Kennedy is ‘terrific’.

“When he got the job permanently the first time, the first guy he brought in was Johan Mjallby, we all know how that partnership went, they were successful and comfortable,” said Lennon.

“The choice of Lenny and Johan would be a good thing. Someone to lean on, someone he knows. I think John Kennedy is a terrific coach but I still think you need your own man,” he added.
