Rangers saw Lee Wallace and Barry McKay called up to the Scotland squad this week.

Rangers manager Mark Warburton has told the club’s official website that he is hoping to see Andy Halliday and Jason Holt in the Scotland squad in future.
The Gers saw two of their men named in the squad by Gordon Strachan this week for the World Cup qualifiers with Lithuania and Slovakia as Lee Wallace and Barry McKay earned call-ups.
It is just reward for the duo, who have impressed despite Rangers’ disappointing start to the season.
For Mark Warburton, it is a demonstration that they are doing something right at Ibrox under his leadership as far as Scotland boss Gordon Strachan is concerned.

But he wants to see more of his Rangers star in the squads in future, naming two in particular.
“I’m delighted for them. Hopefully, they can go and help the team out and do well,” he told the club’s official website.
“Hopefully we can push forward the likes of Jason Holt, Andy Halliday and these individuals who I think are doing really well. I hope in future weeks we are talking about three or four players in the Scotland squad.”

If Rangers are to get more players in the Scotland squad in future, they will have to pick up their performances this season.
The Gers are currently seventh in the table with just nine points from their first seven games of this campaign.
Several of their stars have so far underperformed and they will need to pick up their performances considerably if they are to make it into any international squad.
