Rangers manager Mark Warburton has told The Glasgow Evening Times that Jordan Rossiter is a mature footballer.

Rossiter is a 19-year-old midfielder, and is a very talented and promising young footballer.

The English youngster joined Rangers in the summer transfer window after leaving Premier League giants Liverpool at the end of the 2015-16 campaign.

The teenager has yet to make a huge impact at Ibrox, mainly due to a calf injury he picked up in August.

Rossiter is now fit, and Rangers manager Warburton has spoken highly of the former Liverpool youngster.

The Englishman has praised the youngster for his maturity, and has stated that the 19-year-old knows his limitations as a footballer.

“He’s a good player,” Warburton told The Glasgow Evening Times about Rossiter. “He’s 19 but he’s a mature head on young shoulders. He knows that game, he knows that position.

“He knows what he does well and he knows his limitations – he won’t try a worldie 80-yard pass.

“Jordan wins it and moves it on. I’ve been really impressed with him. It’s nice to welcome Jordan back and have a full squad for the first time.”
