Rangers manager wants to set record straight over Ibrox departure.

Rangers manager Mark Warburton looks on during the Betfred Cup Semi Final match between Rangers and Celtic at Hampden Park on October 23, 2016 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Mark Warburton gave an interview to Open Goal this week in which he discussed his time at Rangers.

During a fascinating 57 minute chat, Warburton spoke about his high and low points at Ibrox.

Warburton led Rangers to promotion to the top flight, but he did not last the season upon their return.

His exit from Rangers remains an acrimonious subject.

Warburton insists he was forced out, with Rangers offering a different account.

Last night Warburton reached out to a Rangers fan on Twitter, who questioned his version of events.

Confidentiality clauses of the termination of his Rangers deal prevent Warburton from voicing the full story as he sees it publicly.

That is not going to stop him trying to put the record straight in private.

We won’t know what Warburton has to say in private, but credit to him for caring enough to continue to want to put his side across.
