Celtic may be in need of a January addition or two come January, having already fallen 11 points adrift of Rangers in the race for the title.
A number of exciting attackers have been linked with the club in recent times, and one of them is Queens Park Rangers ace Bright Osayi-Samuel.
Back in September, The Scottish Sun reported that Celtic were plotting a deal to sign the £5million-rated winger for nothing given that he is out of contract in the summer.
Celtic’s Gary Penrice is allegedly driving the interest, given that he worked with Osayi-Samuel at QPR and could now look for a reunion.
QPR took on Rotherham United last night, and Osayi-Samuel turned in a superb display, bagging a goal and an assist in a fine showing.
The 22-year-old showed why he is such a wanted man, and Celtic should be continuing to watch him ahead of a possible pre-contract agreement.
Now, boss Mark Warburton has told BT Sport that he felt Osayi-Samuel was ‘very good’ against Rotherham, praising him as ‘dangerous’ and a ‘constant threat’.
Warburton added that the club are still talking to Osayi-Samuel about a new deal, but believes a club can buy him if they want him in January.
“He looked very good tonight. He looked dangerous and was a constant threat,” said Warburton. “The people above my pay grade are still talking. If someone wants to buy him I’m sure they can – every player in the world has got a price.”
“All he’s doing right now is concentrating on playing football and that’s what he needs to do – just enjoy his football, enjoy being a good player and enjoy playing for QPR,” he added.
