Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers currently have a number of players making their way back to full fitness.

Glasgow Rangers boss Mark Warburton has informed the Ibrox side’s official website that Jordan Rossiter is set to miss the next two weeks’ worth of action.

Rossiter has damaged his calf, while in on international duty, and he is currently unable to train.

Warburton says that the former Liverpool midfielder is desperate to come back into Rangers’ team, but the Light Blues boss is taking no risks with the midfielder.

“Jordan has a calf strain, he went away with England with a niggle and it got worse in training on international duty,” Warburton said.

“Jordan is a superb professional and is desperate to play every game and it is a low grade strain but at the moment it is proving troublesome. Hopefully he is a couple of weeks away.”

Warburton is also keen not to rush Rangers summer signing Matt Crooks back into action.

Crooks joined Rangers from Accrington Stanley, but his progress at Ibrox so far has been slow.

The 22-year-old has barely been able to feature, due to injury, and Warburton is keen to ensure that Crooks is fully fit before putting him into the first-team.

“Matt Crooks has some slight effusion on the knee (water on the knee) but he has trained well at the start of the week and looks in good shape,” Warburton added.

“Matt is very keen now, he needs to get some match time and the worst thing we could do is try and hurry back a young player.”

Rangers’ next match comes at the weekend, when they take on Partick at Ibrox.

Rangers will be looking to collect the win, to help ease some of the pressure on Warburton, after a stuttering start to the new campaign.
