Rangers have been drawn against their rivals in the semi-final of the Betfred Cup.

Rangers manager Mark Warburton has insisted he does not fear a repeat of their 5-1 loss to Celtic when the two sides meet in the cup, speaking to the Daily Mail.
The Gers were left humiliated by their rivals earlier this month when Brendan Rodgers’ side beat them 5-1 in the Old Firm derby.
The last thing they would have wanted to do is play them again anytime soon but that is exactly what they will do as they have been paired together in the semi-final of the Betfred Cup.

It is likely to give Gers fans sleepless nights after last time but Warburton says he isn’t worried about a repeat of that 5-1 loss.
“I’m not worried about that,” he told the Daily Mail.
“It’s a Hampden semi-final so whoever you draw I’m sure the Rangers end will be packed. We’re looking forward to it. It’s as simple as that. We’re fighting for a place in a cup final so tremendous.”

For now, Rangers must focus on improving their current standing in the league having fallen away in the title race. Warburton’s side are fifth in the table at present and four points behind leaders Celtic.
The gap could be increased to seven should Brendan Rodgers’ side win their game in hand.
That is something Rangers will be keen to avoid happening and they must put that second meeting with the Hoops at the back of their minds for now.
