Glasgow Rangers are currently enjoying their first season back in the Scottish Premiership.
Mark Warburton has explained that Rangers legend John Greig is often around Ibrox ready to offer advice, and named the three current Gers who often pick the 74-year-old’s brains, The Scottish Sun reports.
The Light Blues are enjoying their first season back in the Scottish Premiership, and are arguably still adjusting to life back at the highest level.

But Warburton explained how there is no shortage of club heroes around the place ready to help the current squad make the transition to the top flight as simple as possible.
“John is there before every game talking to the players. He’s not there casually, he’s sensibly slipping in words of wisdom and that helps these boys,” he said, as reported by The Scottish Sun.
“John’s around having a cup of coffee, dropping a few words in to James Tavernier, Lee Wallace or Danny Wilson. Why wouldn’t you listen to someone like John?”

In terms of people to learn from, there is no question that Greig is one of the best to seek the advice of. The former defender spent his entire playing career with Rangers, making nearly 500 league appearances for the club across the best part of two decades.
During that time, he won five league titles, six Scottish Cups and five League Cups. And with his time as manager ending without him winning another league title before his resignation in 1983, he would have as good an idea as anyone about the level of expectations at Ibrox.
And with Greig arguably being one of the greatest players in the club’s history, it is hardly surprising that the defensive trio are hoping that they can learn a thing or two from him.
