Nottingham Forest have appointed a new manager, with Mark Warburton taking over at the club. The former Rangers boss joins his long-term associate Frank McParland at the club and will also be working with David Weir again, who has been appointed assistant manager.
Before heading to Rangers, where he earned promotion last season, Warburton was highly-rated for his work with Brentford in the Championship.
But while he did a lot for Brentford to be happy with, he did make one error.

Alfie Mawson was never giving a chance at Brentford and left on a free transfer for Barnsley in the summer of 2015, whilst Warburton was also on his way out at Griffin Park.
He went on to establish himself as a star at Oakwell and is now helping Swansea City in their fight against relegation.
Warburton never felt the impact of Mawson’s departure, but Brentford fans were perplexed at how such a talent never got a chance at Griffin Park.
He must avoid doing similar with Forest youngster Jorge Grant.
The midfielder is currently out on loan at Notts County and thriving, much like Mawson did in League Two with Wycombe Wanderers.
He has scored four goals in seven games for County as he proves to Forest he has what it takes to make it in the game.
His contract at Forest expires in the summer and undoubtedly County will want him at Meadow Lane permanently, whilst other teams will be taking notice.

Warburton will not want another Mawson mistake on his hands, especially as this time he will be coming in the door and not leaving via the exit as it occurs.
Forest must reward Grant for his loan form with a new deal, or risk looking foolish in the future.
