Warburton’s Glasgow Rangers side have made the headlines for all the wrong reasons recently.
Rangers manager Mark Warburton
Hours after Joey Barton’s suspension was announced, Rangers boss Mark Warburton suggested that he always wants to hear the opinions of his players but insisted that they have to be delivered in the right manner, The Scottish Sun reports.
The 34-year-old has been told by the Light Blues to stay away for three weeks after an altercation with Andy Halliday which came in the wake of their 5-1 defeat at the hands of Celtic earlier in the month, The Scottish Sun reports.

And while Warburton refused to comment on the situation surrounding Barton (via The Scottish Sun), he did hint that the way the midfielder expressed his views may have been a contributing factor as to why he has been punished so severely.
“The environment we create here for the players and staff is to have respectful opinions,” he told The Scottish Sun.
“I always want an opinion, talking about a session but do it in a right manner or they will get a flea in their ear.

“It’s how you deliver the message.”
One of the reasons that the Gers were so impressive last season appears to have been the team spirit that was generated by a group of players and backroom team who were pulling in the same direction.

And that team spirit would undoubtedly have been strengthened by the team’s ability to offer their opinions, so it would be a mistake for Warburton to react to the Barton incident by preventing the squad from discussing their form in any great detail with one another.
But he will also be aware that incidents like the one that led to Barton’s suspension could be extremely detrimental to their hopes of moving themselves up the table.
