The Rangers captain has been named in the Scotland squad for the upcoming clash with England.
Rangers manager Mark Warburton has told the club’s official website he is hoping to see captain Lee Wallace pick up his ninth Scotland cap when they take on England next week.
The Gers captain was recently named in Gordon Strachan’s squad for the Group F qualifying game at Wembley.
He is expected to be named in the starting line-up for the game given the fact that Hull City’s Andrew Robertson and Celtic’s Kieran Tierney are currently out injured.
Rangers’ Lee Wallace
Should that be the case it will be his ninth cap for his country and Warburton says he is hoping to see it happen.
“As always we hope very much that his form, his work rate, his application is recognised on the international stage,” he told the club’s official website.
“That’s what we hope; he’s been a magnificent skipper for Rangers and he will get better and better in that capacity I have no doubts. I hope very much he gets to play in what will be a magnificent a game at a fantastic venue.”

First and foremost Wallace will be focused on helping Rangers make it back-to-back wins when they take on Ross County on Sunday.
The Gers are currently second in the Scottish Premiership and nine points behind league leaders Celtic at this moment in time.
They could find themselves 12 points behind Brendan Rodgers side by the time of their game and will be keen to reduce that back down to nine before the international break brings the domestic schedule to a halt once again.
