Rangers beat Kilmarnock 3-0 at Ibrox on Saturday afternoon.

Speaking to the club’s official website, Rangers manager Mark Warburton has expressed his delight at his team’s win over Kilmarnock.
The Gers hosted Killie at Ibrox on Saturday afternoon looking to bounce back from a disappointing week that had seen them draw with St. Johnstone and lose to Celtic in the Scottish League Cup semi-final the previous Sunday.
They managed to do just that as first-half goals from Lee Wallace and Andy Halliday and then another from Joe Garner in the second half saw them to a confident 3-0 win.
It was an impressive display from the Gers who showed their quality, enjoying 66% of the possession throughout.

It was a performance that certainly pleased their manager, with Warburton praising his team’s positivity to the club’s official website.
“I was pleased with a really good first half performance and we knew the lead would galvanise them at half-time,” he said.
“We looked a lot more positive, there was better decision making, we played it forward well, we weren’t negative at all, we had options for a man on the ball and we got the rewards.”

The result saw Rangers move several places up the table and into second place behind leaders Celtic.
They are still nine points behind Brendan Rodgers’ team, who could extend that to 12 should they win their game in hand.
Nonetheless, sitting in second is much more attractive than a place in the middle of the table.
And Warburton says his team has been rewarded, something that has not happened despite their outstanding displays.
