Glasgow Rangers beat Aberdeen 2-1 in their last outing.
Glasgow Rangers boss Mark Warburton has told the Glasgow Evening Times that he disagrees with people who said his Ibrox side were ‘outstanding’ against Aberdeen.
Rangers picked up a 2-1 victory over the Dons in their last outing, with two second-half goals proving the difference.
The Light Blues took the lead through Kenny Miller, before Lee Hodson sealed the triumph.
Rangers earned a lot of credit for beating one of their main rivals for second place, but Warburton was not entirely satisfied with his side’s performance.
He said: “I read people say we were outstanding against Aberdeen.
“We weren’t outstanding with the football and the stats tell us that.
“We had the second lowest passing stats of the season but it’s about the result.”
Rangers’ win over Aberdeen was important as it lifted them up to second place in the Scottish Premiership table.
The Light Blues have frustrated with their inconsistency so far this season, but there is hope around Ibrox that Warburton’s men will be able to kick on after their latest victory.
Rangers are next in action this weekend, when they take Hearts, in Ian Cathro’s first match in charge of the Jambos.
