Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers were beaten 4-0 by RB Leipzig yesterday.

Mark Warburton has criticised both Martyn Waghorn’s and Michael O’Holloran’s passing during Glasgow Rangers friendly defeat to RB Leipzig in his comments to the Daily Record.

Rangers were hammered 4-0 by the Bundesliga side yesterday, and they never threatened in the match.

Warburton feels that Rangers let themselves down in the final third, with some wasteful passes.

And after the match, he said: “In the latter stages there were balls from Martyn Waghorn and Michael O’Halloran that didn’t go to feet. Our final ball wasn’t good enough.

“It’s too easy to say it’s the level of player and they are on X amount of money each week.

“We got ourselves into good positions and we have to be better with our final ball.”

Rangers were on the back foot early on in the contest, when Timo Werner scored the opener.

Oliver Burke would then go on to add a second for the German side, before Yussuf Poulsen’s brace completed the triumph.

Rangers’ attention will now return back to domestic action, with Scottish football set to start up again after the winter break at the weekend.

Rangers return to competitive action with a match against Motherwell at Ibrox in the Scottish Cup fourth round.
